SOONER OR later we all discover that the important moments in life are not the advertised ones, nor the birthdays, the graduations, the weddings, nor the great goals achieved. The real milestones are less prepossessing. They come to the door of memory.

I wish everyone a HAPPY & SAFE Labor Day Weekend…………….Pamela Elder

Looking back on the memory of the dance we shared, beneath the stars above. For a moment all the world was right, how was I to know that you’d ever say goodbye? And now I’m glad I didn’t know the way it all would end, the way it all would go. Our lives are better left to chance, I could have missed the pain, but I’d have had to miss the dance.
The Dance – (Garth Brooks)

Max your Dad and I would never miss the dance. Today is a week ago that you were called home. You see Max was our first fur baby. Even though if you ask my husband that was his baby boy and the heir to his thrown! Max filled our lives with joy, happiness and the love he returned was unconditional. He was such a handsome little man; and he was always a happy boy. He loved to play and watch tv. There is not a place in our home that we can’t see Max waiting for us. I have been reminiscing all day about his memory. We have 4 fur babies and we love ‘em all but there will always be a special place in our hearts for our first fur baby. We love you Buddy and we will never forget you… No words can describe the loss and grief that your Dad and I are experiencing since you left.

Max, If I could have you back for just one day.
Through the yard we’d play..
I promise I’d give it my very best,
I promise buddy, we wouldn’t rest
We’d play constantly, having fun,
We’d enjoy the warmth of the sun,
I’d give you my everything,
my love would never fade,
I promise, Max, things would be OK,
So long for now, my best friend.
I promise you Max, my heart will never mend.
We Love you “Alexander Maxwell Elder” until we meet again.
Until then, All our love, We send…
Mom & Dad

Let’s talk Real Estate! It’s not all bad , but yes we are in a buyers market.

The upstate of South Carolina has been protected by our Job market with places like GE , BMW , Adidas and their suppliers as well as others who don’t depend on what’s going on in the USA as they ship worldwide. Back to buying and selling homes. There is a large inventory of Great Homes, and Sellers are doing all they can to get the buyers to pick them first.  Competition can be good.

Sellers willing to give their home the best curb appeal possible (Inside and out), fixing what needs to be fixed, and not waiting on a buyer to have a Home Inspection to tell then what they already know.

Buyers having an experienced Real Estate Agent looking out for them (I think we have seen it all or at least more than the average home buyer) And last, talk to your lender, see where you are financially,See how much you can afford. And stay within your budget!

It’s a Great Time to Buy a Home! And we’re ready to help!

Ok, since nobody has decided to write this week and it’s almost Friday, I thought I would get this party started! In about 45 days, my family will embark on our family vacation.  Now, Brian has had a week off already this year but I have not.  Ava has been spending the summer with either my niece, Chelsea, or my parents.  I thought that I could get her potty trained this summer, so I pulled her out of daycare –  but that’s for another time! ANYWAY, we took Ava to the zoo one day while Brian was off, but we have not been on a vacation yet.  Since Ava is still young, we usually take our time off in September and go to Myrtle Beach where Brian’s parents and my parents usually join us for part of the week.

Well, something got into us this year when we heard we were getting the Rebate Check and we decided that we would take another cruise.  We had taken a Honeymoon cruise to the Bahamas back in 2004.  Needless to say, I was sick for a large part of it, so for me to EVEN THINK about getting on a boat again, is amazing. (BTW, I’ve got a doctors appt next month and plan to ask for the sea sick patch)!!  To top it off, we are flying (YES FLYING) to Miami to leave from the largest port in the country! When we Waldrep’s do something, we do it BIG!

Flying – that’s another story.  We had considered driving but with gas prices and a 3 year old, we decided against it! So, I have a corner of the bedroom piled up with  everything we could possibly need for this trip -clothes, towels, bathing suits, toys for Ava, traveling toys for the plane, etc.  It’s amazing how much a corner of the room can hold!  Trust me, when I can actually pack, I’ll be so happy to have that corner empty!

Anyway, everyone here at the office can tell you that we are counting down the days! Every few days, someone will ask – “How many more days?” “Are you getting excited?” “Have you packed yet?”

It’s always amazed me when I hear people say that they don’t know much about the people they work with.  Or maybe it’s just that we like to talk a lot in this office! But we like to share our lives with each other! That’s how we are around here – everyone is excited over everyone else’s adventures, loves everyones ele’s kids like their own and concerned over everyone else’s concerns. That’s just how it is with Family!!
